TRM featuring |
|||||||||
| The 3-dimensional "gripping" geomats are designed for the protection and planting of slopes subjected to surface erosion whenever a suitable vegetative substrate soil exists. Typically used: roadway ditches, steep slopes, storm channels. | ||||||||||

CELLULAR CONFINEMENTS featuring |
|||||||||
| These honeycomb shaped geocells have a central opening through which water can pass, which essentially creates cells that are hydraulically interconnected. Uses: slopes where the ground is dry and rocky due to lack of organic material. | ||||||||||

GROUND PROTECTION (GP) MESH featuring |
|||||||||
| The thick profile of the GP prevents vehicle tires and foot traffic from coming in direct contact with the tender crown of the grass. It enables the grass to withstand frequent traffic without suffering significant damage. | ||||||||||

TURF REINFORCEMENT (TR) MESH featuring |
|||||||||
| The thinner profle of TR limits its ability to protect the tender crown, but provides sufficeint strength to support vehicles, even under the wettest of conditions. In addition, TR minimizes the rutting of grassy areas. | ||||||||||

Erosion Control/Seperation/Underlayment Fabrics | |||||||||
| In embankment SynTec fabrics are used for stabilization, where the fabric functions as a filter medium behind stabilizing rip-rap revetments. In turf reinforcement, SynTec fabrics are used to retain soil while allowing roots and stems to grow through. | ||||||||||
Local hydrological, biological and geotechnical parameters all play key roles in the complex phenomena of erosion. However, the magnitude of erosion is heavily dependent on the synergistic effects of two main mec-hanisms: detachment and movement of soil particles due to raindrop impact, and detachment and transport of soil particles due to surface runoff. Among the above, runoff, in particular, caused by high-volume and high-velocity storm waters can erode soil within open channels, drainage ditches, swales, and on steep exposed slopes, increasing the transport of sediments into receiving waters.
Erosion control methods vary in their effectiveness, cost and appearance. SynTec geosynthetics for erosion control offer technically sound, environmentally sensitive, yet economical solutions.
